We did manage to get a few things done in the shop though
Saturday after breakfast we headed to Hartford to Kettle Moraine Hardwoods to pick up some lumber and plywood. The plywood is laying on its side against the door, along with the 4/4 oak boards. The short pieces stacked on the table saw we pick up super cheap, and they work perfect for the shadow boxes. $325 Dollars later, and I have a pretty decent pile of lumber to work with.
Here is a table top I made for my cousin and his fiance . They have a coffee table that needed just a new top, and I was glad to help them out.
Here is a close up of one of the edges. It is made with plywood, then wrapped in a matching oak edge beading. This picture was taken just before I used the round-over bit to smooth of the sharp edges. They are staining this one themselves...project completed in one hour!
Check back again, as Monday I will be starting some more projects.
